If your mailbox or post moves when shaken, we are asking that you prepare for winter by securing, or replacing, the post and box. 

 

The majority of mailboxes damaged during winter operations are not the result of a direct hit from the snowplow as the plows do not actually touch the mailboxes.  Instead, the snow thrown from the plow when clearing the roadway will eventually damage a loose mailbox and/or weak post.

 

We are not responsible for mailbox or post damage caused by snow thrown by the plow when clearing the roadway.  If, however, your mailbox/post has clearly been hit by our snowplow, we have a policy to replace the mailbox and/or post with a standard unit.
